Sophie Gruhn

Sophie Gruhn, who recently designed and developed a new Test of Emergent Literacy (TEL) for ICELDA, has accepted a position with the Cochlear Implant Centre Wilhelm Hirte in Hannover. The centre provides rehabilitation to patients with a hearing disorder after they have received a cochlear implant, and Sophie’s main responsibilities will be to do evaluation of patients’ progress, and to offer advice to the parents of young patients. In addition, she has heard that she has received one of the highest marks possible (9) for her MA dissertation, which was supervised by ICELDA CEO Albert Weideman. Sophie is in the process of being appointed as a research fellow at the University of the Free State, and we not only wish her a productive time as a scholar in that position, but also offer her our best wishes in her new position.
